Amgen Irish Open

The 2024 Amgen Irish Open will take place from 1pm on Thursday 11 until Sunday 15 September, at Royal County Down Golf Club, in Newcastle, Northern Ireland.

First played in 1927, the Irish Open is one of the oldest competitions in golf across Europe, with a legendary list of former champions including Seve Ballesteros, Sir Nick Faldo, Rory McIlroy, Padraig Harrington and Shane Lowry to name just a few.

The prestigious championship is one of the world’s most celebrated golf tournaments and was first played in Northern Ireland in 1928, at none other than Royal County Down Golf Club. This year, the competition is set to return to the stunning landscapes of County Down for the 5th time in the club’s history.
